Pallas' Privacy Terms
In effect from October 25, 2026.
Pallas makes history lessons for teachers. This page says what we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to have it removed. It covers pallas.school, Dream(the chat page where you make lessons), buy.pallas.school, and the Pallas connector you can add inside Claude or ChatGPT. When you use the connector, the privacy policy of Claude or ChatGPT also applies to what you type there.
Teachers use Pallas, students do not
Pallas is for teachers. Students never sign in, and the lesson pages they read on pallas.school collect nothing about them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Please do not paste student names, grades or other student information into a conversation with Pallas; a lesson never needs it.
What we collect
Sign-in. When you sign in with your school or organization email, we keep your name, your email address and the school or organization it belongs to. Sign-in runs through Auth0; we never see your password.
Conversations and lessons. What you say to Pallas, and the readings, labs and lesson materials it makes with you, are stored so you can come back to them, revise them and publish them. If you use Pallas as a guest without signing in, your messages are stored for the session and we count messages per browser and per network address for the day to keep the free tier fair.
Purchases. Payments on buy.pallas.school are taken by Stripe. Stripe holds your card details; we never receive them. We keep your email address, what you bought and when, so we can deliver the files, send a receipt and send them again if you ask.
Requests and downloads. When you ask us to build a unit, we keep the name, school, email and state you give us so we can email you when it is ready. When you enter your school email to download a teacher edition or student files, we keep that email.
Support. If you email us, we keep the exchange so we can answer and follow up.
Technical records. Our servers keep ordinary logs (such as the pages requested, the time and the browser) and, for the chat, a trace of each conversation's steps so we can find and fix what went wrong. We use Fathom for site statistics; it sets no cookies and does not identify visitors.
How we use it
To run Pallas: sign you in, make and keep your lessons, deliver what you bought, answer your questions, and email you about a lesson or unit you asked for. To understand how Pallas is used and make it better. To keep the free tier from being abused. We do not sell your information and we show no advertising.
Pallas is built on AI models
Your conversation is sent to the AI model providers that write and check the lessons, such as Anthropic and OpenAI, through their business services. Your words go only as far as needed to answer you. OurAI policy explains how we use these models.
What becomes public
Publishing a lesson puts it on pallas.school for anyone to read, under your name. Ashare link to a conversation can be read by anyone who has the link. Everything else you make stays with you until you publish or share it.
Who else sees it
The companies that run our service, each only for its job: Vercel (hosting), Google Cloud and DigitalOcean (servers and database), Auth0 (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Fathom (statistics), Langfuse (conversation traces) and the AI model providers above. Our data is kept in the United States. We would also share information if the law required it.
Cookies
Dream sets one cookie so you stay signed in, and one to count guest messages for the day. pallas.school sets one cookie after you enter your school email, so you can download the rest of a unit's files without entering it again. The shopping cart on buy.pallas.school is kept in your own browser's storage. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it, and how to delete it
We keep your account, conversations and lessons for as long as you use Pallas. Email us and we will delete them, send you a copy, or correct something. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. A lesson you have published stays public until you ask us to take it down.
Security
Everything travels over encrypted connections, and only the people who run Pallas can reach the stored data. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong with your information, we will tell you.
Changes
If this page changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
